Michelle Obama (also known as FLOTUS...First Lady of the United States) gave a passionate speech at the opening night of the Democratic National Convention last night in Charlotte, N.C. But it's her stylish ways that are making news today. As is tradition with the First Lady, her style was a mixture of designer and off-the-rack. She paired her Tracy Reese dress with pink pumps from J. Crew.

But we're here to talk about her nails — her trendy lavender-greige nails that stood out against her poppy pink dress. Bloggers and news outlets alike took to the Internet today asking "What was the First Lady wearing on her nails?" It was an unexpected trendy choice and we applaud her for it.

So what was the actual color? The Obama Campaign revealed late this afternoon to MSNBC's Tamron Hall that the color was Artistic Nail Design's Colour Gloss Soak-Off Gel in Vogue, an iridescent grey lilac hue. We expect our friends over at Artistic to be getting a lot of requests for this color.
