After a full show day on Sunday (which you can read about here), the next stop was the Next Top Nail Artist party where the winner was going to be announced!

This was a super exciting event with high energy and anticipation buzzing around. There was a CND photo booth for attendee fun.

There was a presentation of the year’s work by NTNA contenders had me spellbound. Some of the nail sets took 50-75 hours to craft-- that’s some serious dedication.

Jan Arnold of CND walked us through the judging process and how difficult it was to choose from such amazing entries each week.

Last year’s winner, Ryoko, was on hand to congratulate the winner and pass the title. Just seeing her brings to mind such astounding nail designs remembering the work that she submitted. I posted videos of the announcements as fast as they would load so followers could be as close to in the moment as I could get them from afar!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
