If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you know that I’ve been buzzing about Europe the last couple weeks! It was a great tour that included three countries with stops in seven cities.

Nail professionals around the world are the same in that we all want to see the industry rise above the stereotype that it has fallen into. Education of ourselves and our salon guests is paramount, while maintaining our own driving passion for what we do. Fueling those flames is something I adore doing and to throw seeing techs I already know into making new friends just makes my own fire for this industry burn brighter.

A huge thank you to Sweet Squared for having me over to do the tour and for taking such great care of me! The next thank you is for all the professionals that took the time to travel to one of the locations and give of their time to learn and share.

Until I hit Ireland and was properly educated by the techs there, in my American ignorance I thought all the stops were in the UK. This means that the official tour hashtag was #S2UKtour so please feel free to search it and see all the fun things going on. My apologies to the Irish, with a huge hug and promises for a better educated hashtag in the future. XO

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
