A quick group shot taken before filming the first Facebook Live.

While I was in California last week, I stopped by Kupa’s offices to see how the classroom I’d seen in the construction phase last year had turned out. They happened to be filming three different Facebook Live videos that day, so there was a lot going on. Nonetheless, I managed to find time to be in awe of the new classroom. Here are some pictures and you can find a video on my Instagram feed.

The amazing dream classroom looks so much different than the framing I saw last year!

You can find all the Kupa TV recordings on their YouTube channel — everything from nail tutorials to a breakdown of the NAILS NTNA weekly challenges and contestants. While I was in-house, Ann Chang demonstrated shaping with an e-file. The demo was very effective for beginners and would be helpful for any e-file user to brush up on her skills or learn an easier way to go about it.

Thanks again to Kupa for letting me observe and learn!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
