If you will indulge me I need to channel my inner Maggie today and ask for help! I’m sure by now lots of you have heard about the Square. I have blogged about it, had my purchases rung up on them, and seen them in action in the CND booth. My question to you is has anyone found something similar that supports Blackberry? Looking for info on the Square site gives this:
We currently only support Apple iOS and Android platforms. We don’t have any plans to support Blackberry devices at this time.

While that is lovely for all the Apple and Android users it poses a problem for those of us that have true work phones (Blackberry) that are not toys in the guise of work phones ;) (you can read that as slightly jealous and not offensive).
While I would consider an Android phone if the company I use (have to go with the one that has coverage in the boonies of Iowa) had one that would do everything I need it to for work. My needs are currently best served by a Blackberry and I cannot imagine I am the only one out there with this issue. Since I can be in a bubble of travel, teaching, and social media sometimes I miss out on things that may be going on outside the bubble. So if you have some suggestions of Square-like systems I could check out for my Blackberry I would be very grateful!

Have you ever heard of the stages of grief? With everything going on, we are grieving our “normal”. That means you should give yourself permission to feel the way you feel.

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
It has been quite a while since I made a video for the e-file chronicles so an update to that seemed in order. The latest installment is removing gel-polish from an enhancement.
