As BFFs, our strengths complement each other.

Have you ever covered for a colleague or coworker in the salon? How did you feel about it? Confident or nervous?

#BFFmel has to be out of the salon for a bit and I am stepping in to do a handful of her liquid-and-powder clients. I don’t think I’ve been this nervous about doing nails in years! My enhancement specialty is gel and hers is L&P, which means her clients are all wearing L&P. She has mad skills, is an amazing person, and has an established time and routine.

The first step was to warn her clients that I have a turtle as a logo for a reason. They will need to be prepared for a service that takes a little longer than what they are used to. The next step is to practice! Doing mix ratio beads and nail tips as if I were in school again to get into the groove.

It’s pretty nerve-wracking to step into someone’s shoes, knowing you are not a perfect clone, simply a useful substitute. Any advice for me!?
