Doug Schoon has announced a new industry award that he will be giving out once a year. It is for industry innovation. If you’re not familiar with Doug Schoon, I highly recommend not only checking out the complimentary educational information he has on his website for nail professionals, but also subscribing to the weekly video series called “Face-to-Face with Doug Schoon.”

Doug is a well-known industry scientist with global recognition for his nail knowledge and scientific expertise. He has created the award to be recognition of industry-changing innovation. It was very exciting to see that the initial winner of this award is the company Famous Names for their product IBX.

IBX is a natural nail treatment that is applied to the surface of the nail plate, then through use of a heat source and light, the product cure bonds to itself in the top layers of the nail to create a more stable surface which in turn gives a better wear of the product applied such as gel-polish.

Huge congrats to the team at Famous Names for such an amazing acknowledgement of their innovation, and thanks to Doug for creating this award!
