The ICE (Iowa Cosmetology Educators) 2012 Design Team has finally presented the 2012 designs and I’m so excited to share some of them with you! I’ve committed to three exclusive videos ,so I while I will be posting a few photos here, the step-by-steps are on a CD, whose proceeds will go to the ICE organization to help support industry education in Iowa. It was so interesting to be a part of creating a concept and then technicals to explain how it is done. The hairstylists had to draw diagrams and type up detailed explanations. My job was to take photo step-by-steps of three womens’ nail designs and one for men, then type up an explanation on how to recreate them. For fun I made videos to explain the women’s designs which I’m sure comes as a surprise to you all ;)

If any of you are interested in purchasing the CD or would like more info, feel free to e-mail me at fingernailfixer@hotmail.com. Payments can be made via PayPal and cost is $10 per CD with $1.50 shipping in the U.S. and $3 shipping outside the U.S.

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
