Do you listen to Nail Talk Radio? I try to tune in when I am in the position to do so, my favorite is when I can listen AND be in the chat room :o) This week I was driving so I was listening via my earbuds and an interesting turn of topic came up. Mille and Athena mentioned that a listener wanted to know if anyone thought Facebook was a distraction and not a useful site.

With a Facebook page myself, I decided to call in and offer my two cents. Anything can be a distraction — kids in the back seat, bills that need paid, shiny nails (go ahead laugh you know what I mean!), TV, and numerous other things. It isn’t always about finding fault in things we don’t understand but finding a way to use them in a positive manner or else finding something else to do!

I think that Facebook can be an amazing business and networking tool. However if you asked my husband and closest friends they might say it is a distraction because I feel compelled to make sure no one’s question goes unanswered—  sometimes at random times of the day or night.

The moral of the story being that distraction is in the eye of the beholder ;o) What are your thoughts and feelings on Facebook?

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
