Our interest is piqued by Eye for Beauty by Sally Beauty that states that "contrary to popular belief, you CAN put [Hand & Nail Harmony] Gelish over acrylic nails. In fact, it actually allows you to leave the salon with complete confidence that your new nail color will not get smudged or nicked, as Gelish Polish dries under a UV light in 2 minutes flat!" Fabulous Manicure Bar got picked by Diet Coke for its "Beauty Break" promotion--so now the salon is giving away 4,000 mini bottles of the carbonated beverage to its clients. If you were picked, how many bottles do you think you could give away at your salon?

We love the Nail Polish Ambition contest run by For Your Nails Only. Some of our favorite entries include, "To open up my own salon so I can play with more polish", "To paint both hands equally as well" and"To turn heads with JUST my nails/nail polish."

Pinkies Beauty Blog discusses the virtues of adding a neon as an accent. We agree that nails are the perfect place to sport bright hues.
