Believe it or not, some people start their holiday shopping before December 24. Do your salon patrons know that gift certificates are an available option? If you have a website or social media presence, will you sell a gift certificate over the phone to a family member of one of your clients? If so, make sure this is clearly mentioned. Offer complimentary “unwrapping” videos! Friends and family that live out of state appreciate gifts they don’t have to pay astronomical shipping for and clients enjoy having their services taken care of.  If you’re feeling cheeky, you could even do a Facebook post asking your clients to tag their “kids, spouses, parents, etc.” if they would like to add a gift certificate from your salon to their wish list! For locals, if you take care of husbands and wives, why not let the husband know about something the wife has been admiring yet hesitates to treat herself to? Maybe hint that you would be happy to create a custom basket of her favorite nail items if he would like. Don’t wait until the last minute to think about mentioning your options — some of your opportunities could have already spent their gifting budget elsewhere.
