It’s no secret that when it comes to awards shows, the Grammys usually boast the best manis. This year was no exception, as shimmer, matte finish, and subtle nail art provided contrast to jaw-dropping outfits and performances.

Shimmer

Charli XCX sported two coats of Essie Marshmallow and a coat of A Cut Above (Luxeffects) to brighten up her mani. Nails were done by Julie Kandalec.

Alana Haim, the youngest of the Haim sisters, opted for foil-looking metallic nails by Steph Stone.

Matte

Holly Falcone gave Grammy winner Grace Chatto of Clean Bandit a matte mani with Essie’s All Eyes On Nude and Matte About You.

Michele Saunders applied Essie’s All Eyes On Nudes along with a coat of Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Low, to create a platinum look for Lady Gaga.

French Alternatives

Since it is almost Valentine’s Day, Meghan Trainor’s heart-tipped French in Red Carpet Manicure’s Candid Moments and Ruby gel-polish was perfectly on-point. Nails by Kimmie Kyees.

Fariha Ali of Enamel Diction and House of Polish, created an asymetical art deco tip for Maria Menounos with OPI Black Onyx and a custom-blended nude.
