Known for its jaw-dropping moments, the MTV Video Music Awards also brings out some of the award season's daring nail looks. 

Celeb nail tech Emi Kudo worked with the ladies of Fifth Harmony to finalize their red carpet looks with Red Carpet Manicure Nail Lacquer shades. 

“Dinah and Lauren chose fall-perfect hues (burgundy and jet black) to match their dark ensembles, while the others opted to keep a summery vibe in a refreshing pops of hot pink,  white and neutrals,” Kudo said. “All the girls looked gorgeous from head to toe!”

Ally from Fifth Harmony donned Red Carpet Manicure's Material Girl nail lacquer.

Tom Bachik gave Rita Ora a black manicure. 

Steph Stone polished Miley Cyrus' nails with a rainbow gradient consisting of NCLA and Chanel for her VMA hosting duties.

And Demi Lovato took over People Magazine's Twitter to show us behind-the-scenes looks as she picked out her nail polish colors before hitting the red carpet. 

The Cool for the Summer signer wore a nude and pink chevron. 

Taylor Swift took to Instagram to share a nail photo of glittery manicures with Serayah and Gigi Hadid.
