Hi, my name is Tim Crowley and I have the distinction of being the first male editor to ever work on the NAILS staff. I’ve been here for almost a year now, and I’ve already learned more about nails than I ever thought possible.  

Working on a magazine about nails wasn’t exactly something I had been planning on, but when the opportunity came my way I knew I just had to go for it. And after diving head-first into this industry and really getting to know it, I am grateful to be here.

I’ve talked to so many great nail technicians, salon owners, and manufacturers that have opened my eyes to just how interesting this industry can be, and I’ve even been lucky enough to enjoy a complimentary manicure or two along the way. (I promise I’ll get a pedicure soon — my first — and I’ll be sure to let you know all about it here.)

I’m currently in charge of the Technique section, and I’m always looking for good nail technicians to feature in the magazine. So if you have a troubleshooter, technique or tip that you would like to share, please feel free to e-mail me. I also write the product spotlight section each month. So if you ever come across any new products, send them my way as well.
