In conjunction with ISSE Long Beach, Minx (the fun, sassy, fashion-forward nail coating that has been gracing the hands of celebrities like Beyonce, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Fergie) had VIP parties both Saturday and Sunday night of the show at the hip new Avia Hotel across from the convention center. Knowing everyone’s feet were probably hurting from walking the show floor all day, the company arranged for a custom-wrapped Minx limo to take people back and forth.

Celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik was on hand to do demos at the party. Chief Cheeky Minx Dawn Lynch-Goodwin and Master Minx Janice Jordan toasted the crowd that was there to support their product.

I went to the party on Saturday after the show floor closed. In addition to hors d’oeuvres and a special Minxtini, Tom Bachik and other Minx devotees were on hand to offer demos on the product. Another table was set up with stations for everyone to try their own hand at applying the Minx nail coatings. What a great way to get the product into people’s hands…cocktails, music, good company, and a little time to get hands-on with the product.

I enjoyed mingling with nail techs Kristina Estabrooks, Kimmie Kyees, and Roxanne Valinoti.

Celebrity nail artists Tom Bachik, Kimmie Kyees, Naja Rickette, and Athena Elliott were all there, but they had been rushing around all weekend doing the nails of all the big rock goddesses for the Grammy Awards. Hopefully, I’ll have more of a report back from them later this week. I know JLo, Rihanna, Estelle, and Ciara were all in the mix to get their nails done for the big day.

All in all, a fun little get together for the Minx team to celebrate and share their products with interested nail techs and industry members.
