The Nail Garden, a popular chain of nail salons in So Cal, added a seventh location to its list of franchises. On Thursday night, more than 250 guests celebrated the grand opening of the Northridge, Calif., salon with mini manicures and pedicures, blow dry services, and henna and flash tattoos.

“There aren’t that many high-end nail salons in the area and we knew the customers would love us being here and being a part of the community,” says Reham Bastawros, the Nail Garden’s franchise owner.

The Nail Garden opened its first nail spa in Studio City, Calif., in 2005 and since then has expanded to Burbank, Hermosa, Manhattan Beach, Sherman Oaks, and Valencia. Each location space ranges from 1,200 to 2,500 square feet with most salons featuring a blow dry bar and a makeup lounge. “We found that there was a lack in the market in terms of customer service, aesthetics and cleanliness,” says Bastawros. “We wanted to do something that was an affordable luxury.”

The tree is made out of preserved bark, says Bastawros.

The décor at each location features earthy tones to emulate a garden. “We love the feeling of an outdoor vibe inside the salon, which is something a lot of places don’t have,” says Bastawros.
