It is exciting to see all the excitement about the Nail Notebook project! I have had lots of requests for more specific instructions on creating a cover, so for those of you who prefer a little more guidance vs. just a straight out assignment, these pictures and ideas are for you!

Start with something on a page. You can use paper, cardstock, or photo paper, whatever you personally prefer. I began with a printout of my logo and tagline on a piece of cardstock. If you do not have a logo use your salon name and a clever phrase.
How about:
“Don’t you wish your nails could bling like these?”
“Clean, classy, nail care is available in city, providence, country, etc.”
“Nails are the ultimate accessory and your size is always available”

The next thing I did to my page is spray it with some glitter hairspray I had leftover from something or other to give it a shimmery look. If bling is not your thing, then skip the glitter!

Next I brought the Elmer’s glue off the kid’s craft shelf and traced a few aspects of my printout.

Then I sprinkled on glitter and tapped off the excess. I chose to use glitter as an accent because I am getting to be well-known for Rockstar toes. If you are known for rhinestone work then adhere a few rhinestones, or artists you could draw a little something!

The page was looking a little blank in the top for me so some pictures were the logical next step. I printed out a few of my favorites on photo paper, you could use regular paper or cardstock if you prefer. I then cut them out and stacked and arranged until I had a fun scattered look. Good old Elmer’s glue worked just fine to hold the pictures in place.

The final step was to trim off the excess photo edges that extended beyond my page, and voila, my cover sheet was done. Let it dry overnight and then slide it into the front of your notebook!!
Hope these extra details and ideas were just what you needed to dive in and have a great start to our project :o)
