Texas put on a networking event in Houston on February 22. It was the first of its kind and had a great manufacturer turn out. There were several classes to choose from with additional private classes offered the day after through the individual educators or companies.

From a company point of view, I have come to love the networking events for nails far more than the larger shows. You actually get to spend a bit of time with the nail professionals discussing their questions and/or concerns in an environment where you can hear each other clearly. Some of the companies that made a showing in Houston were: LCN, Elite, Empower Nail Art, IBX, Light Elegance, Akzéntz, Amy Becker, Crystal Culture, Salon Gurus, and Renee Parnell Airbrushing

I was there on the behalf of Empower Nail Art and our newly created Film School class certificates made their debut! If your goal in attending an event is to get education and speak to educators, check out one of the networking events in your part of the country. Here are some of the ones you will find me at throughout the rest of this year, see you there!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
