Nubar recently had its first formal training seminar headed by new education consultant Vicki Peters. The five-day event had 14 experienced Nubar nail techs training with Peters as well as guest speaker Millie Haynam and Portuguese nail expert Sandra Luz to develop nail art and stiletto skills for the 2011 trade show year. The training was a first time for Noubar Abrahamian, who just recently re-vamped his training program and is excited to show off the skills of his educators at the upcoming shows this year.

And the training was quite a success. I attended the wrap-up held at the Holiday Inn in Burbank, Calif., where all participants were excited to have completed their training. Catherine Roxy Carillo of Los Angeles, told me, “There was a really nice tone set with the training. All the girls really got along and everyone felt comfortable pushing our skills beyond our comfort zones.”

Peters closed out the training by handing out certificates of completion to each of the 14 nail techs. The Nubar educator team is an accomplished crew that boasts a combined nail experience of 350 years.
