Ocean Nails Inspired by the Caribbean

Today’s blog is coming to you from the Caribbean! I am at the bi-annual #BeachesBFF event in Turks & Caicos. I have blogged about the event several times in the past, so for a different twist on things, let’s go for an ocean-inspired manicure idea!

The Caribbean is definitely a great place to set your #naileyes free to gather colors, textures, and pattern ideas. Simple and easy goes with the flow of the island vibe so here’s an idea that won’t take much time to execute.

Using your favorite dark blue CND Shellac or gel-polish, apply one coat to the nails and cure. Next, apply a blue foil with any holographic design in as much of a full coverage as you can.

Then, rub a complimentary color holographic glitter over the foil and it will stick to any exposed top film that the foil did not cover. Apply top coat and cure like normal to find a fun sparkling ocean look without any extra time in the service!

You should be sure to charge a minimum of an additional $10 to the service for this look. Enjoy!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
