Yesterday I was invited to celebrate OPI’s ColorPaints collection by attending a beach house party in Malibu. The set up was too cool, as this house is used for several celebrity events and high-profile gatherings. Delicious food, cool drinks, and of course OPI décor decked out the interior and exterior. Some of my favorite details included OPI pillows, the Brights collection below a large surf print, and OPI beach towels that were strewn about.

Tying everything together were the four OPI guest artists who offered manicures on the deck. It was my first ever outdoor manicure, and after getting my nails done on the beach, I don’t know if I can ever go back. Dawn Sharp, a nail tech of 34 years based out of Woodland Hills, Calif., applied OPI ColorPaints in Magenta Madness. The chrome base definitely gave the magenta added dimension to shine bright in the sunlight.

Thanks to OPI for encouraging me to get out of the office and enjoy the summer weather. I’m hoping every summer collection can be celebrated with a beachside bash.
