To honor the ending of NBC's "Parks and Recreation," nail artists took to their craft for Pawnee-inspired designs.

Nail tech/blogger and self-proclaimed “lacqerhead” Emily Draher of Canton, Ohio, is perhaps better known as The Lacquerologist. What you may not know about Draher is that her other obsession besides nail polish is with NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.” “I just love Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and her positive attitude. It’s such a feel good show,” says Draher.
To commemorate the show’s series finale that aired Tuesday, Draher announced on social media that she was looking for fellow nail artists to share their Parks and Recreation-inspired manicures. What resulted was an outpouring of love for this television series, not to mention some pretty impressive nail art. "This is what I love about the nail art enthusiasts community...we all share common interests and can come together to talk about and celebrate things other than nails, but always through nail art," says Draher.
Draher’s look consisted of a gradient using KBShimmer, silhouette detail with It’s So Easy StripeRite, and OPI Matte Top Coat. You can read more about Draher’s finale nail art and keep up with her blog posts here.

We love that Draher put a positive spin on this finale and used nail art to make us all feel a bit better. You can follow The Lacquerologist for a daily dose of feel-good posts (and polish) on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
