Recap from ABS Chicago

The next big tradeshow on my calendar is Orlando, where will you be next?

Did you make it to ABS Chicago this year? I did and I got to see the show from a different perspective. Instead of being in the booth, I was in the CND classroom. It was interesting to see the difference in set up and how things ran throughout the day. I super appreciate all those that came down to say hi as well as take the classes!

There was also a photo booth in the hall on the way to the classroom and I am an absolute sucker for a photo booth! No matter how you feel about photos of yourself, you have to love a photo that is meant to be funny and even terrible, right!?!

I noticed the show floor plan still had the nail booths scattered about.  If you walked the floor, did you find nail booths easy to find? Another great thing about hitting a trade show is seeing industry friends you wouldn’t normally run across in the course of your day. Whether it is fellow educators or other nail professionals, sharing a passion with others is a unique relationship and commonality. The next big tradeshow on my calendar is Orlando, where will you be next?

If you missed ABS Chicago, catch up by clicking on a slide show from the show floor here and here.

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
