One of the classes available for attendees at the BFF event was a crash course on fun, quick, and easy hairstyles that don't require much product or accessory work to achieve. It was taught by Amanda from Paul Mitchell. Here are some tips on six of the looks shown to give you some fresh ideas for easy salon looks!

Look 1

• Create a high-back ponytail

• Divide the pony into three sections

• Braid the two side sections and band the ends

• Fishtail braid the center section and pull slightly on some of the pieces before banding to add some puff to the braid

• Wrap each braid around the pony and each other tying knots and pin

Look 2

• Divide off a small section at the crown and do a small amount of backcombing at the base
  

• Divide head into five ponies, alternating high and low

• Twist each piece allowing it to twist in on itself and pin

Look 3

• Take sections and tie knots all over the head

• Tuck and pin

Look 4

• Twist hair along one side starting from the top

• Gather all hair into a pony at that side

• Pull last loop of pony only halfway through, then randomly pin

Look 5

• Twist the sides of the hair to behind lower ear and pin

• Tie knots in sections of remaining hair and pin

Look 6

• French braid a side panel of the hair, band the end, twirl, and pin

• Backcomb some of the center hair at base

• Take a center section, twist the end, push up, and then pin

• From the other side, create a few twists and/or braids and bring back, then pin

The class was really fun and the styles were so easy that even someone as hairstyle handicapped as me could achieve them. I will even share a photo of my handiwork that I accomplished the next morning!
