How are you feeling about your nail skills? Hopefully not too bad, but we all could use improvement and striving for constant improvement is what keeps us fresh and ever changing. Taking classes is such an important component of that drive and continuation of self improvement. Sometimes you have to take whatever class comes to your area.
For example I had some gals in a Master class for liquid-and-powder who were beginners. I enjoy teaching all levels. The fun thing about beginners is helping them create confidence in their work. The next time a class comes to your area that seems like it would be too advanced, consider taking it for the education and then take it again in a year or so after you have had time to implement some of the information.

It is also fun to teach experienced techs. I live for the “a-ha” moment when they discover something new or something changed that will benefit them —that’s why taking a class every year is the key to keeping your skills keen. The process changes, products advance, or we just learn from each other’s experience.
I’m going to share a few photos of nails but not names or faces because I am so proud of the improvement from the nail they did at the beginning of class to the nail they did at the end of the day. Just think if one day of class can give improvement like this, what a lifetime of education will do for your skills! Practice and patience are the key!!

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
It has been quite a while since I made a video for the e-file chronicles so an update to that seemed in order. The latest installment is removing gel-polish from an enhancement.
