Elaine Watson, Star Nail's VP of marketing and sales, partnered with medical nail tech AthenA Elliott and Nail Talk Radio to design a limited-edition t-shirt to help benefit the charity Polished Girlz. The shirt is second in a series of 12 featuring art from popular nail techs including Naja Rickett, Gina Silvestro, and Tom Bachik. Only 100 of each shirt will be printed and 10% of each purchase goes to Polished Girlz, an organization that brings nail art parties to girls with special needs or frequent hospitalizations while also teaching the importance of hand sanitation as preventative care.
"The design for my t-shirt came from a shot we created for the catalog of our Cina Nail Art line," explains Watson. "We wanted something that was really eye-catching as well as a good marketing message. The look was an Adam and Eve-inspired concept. The apple, of course, is iconic for the story. I gave the nails a bit of a snakeskin style."
