What do you do in the salon to go above and beyond to create a great atmosphere? Big or small, any salon could put effort into giving guests an indulgent treat just by walking into your location. While in Honolulu I stopped in to visit the girls at Mandara after finishing up a round of Master classes. The salon of course was beautiful but what always captures my eye are the little things. A favorite that begs to be shared is the rolled towels with small flowers. Being in the Midwest I don’t exactly have access to beautiful blooming flowers on a daily basis to brighten up the towels, but would tying them with a pretty ribbon or getting some colorful silk flowers kill me? I’m thinking that any of us could add small details like this to make the salon more inviting and it just oozes luxury and relaxation. What could you tweak in the small details of your salon? I would love to see pictures of what you do already or what you are inspired to try!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia.
