Hello again! It has been a while since the last blog and for that I apologize. I recently found myself flying to Texas to see my Dad who was admitted to the hospital. And then I stayed  on when he passed so I could be with my family. I would like to offer some thank-yous if I might have your indulgence for this one blog.

Thank you so much to American Airlines who gave me an amazing family medical emergency non-stop flight at a fair price so I could make it to my Dad’s bedside before he passed. The day I arrived was his best day and I will cherish that memory always. I was even able to give him a manicure!

Thank you to all my Facebook and CND comrades, without you there would have been nail techs left with questions unanswered while I was away. Knowing you were there as a community to help each other eased my mind and allowed me to go offline without guilt.

Thank you to the NAILS staff who had the patience and understanding to let me skip blogging while I was away so that I could focus completely on family.

Thank you to the salons and schools who were so gracious as to reschedule or cover classes so that I could stay on for my Dad’s funeral. I am so grateful for that time with my family.

Thank you to the family who traveled in for the services, the wonderful cards and flowers from others, and the beautiful well wishes from around the world. I’m so in awe of the global love and support and hope that you know it carries me through the hard days.

Peace be with you all and know you have my deepest gratitude from the bottom of my heart. XOXO

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
