The trip to Australia has been amazing and the Pacific Nail and Beauty team has been so good to me. I fly back home tomorrow with mountains of memories of beautiful people and a wonderful country.
Behold the beautiful Harbour Bridge.
The Sydney Expo was great! It is very similar to the other shows I have been to. Not as large as Premiere Orlando yet not as small as Long Beach. I did my usual demoing in the booth with a fun extra of interviewing with Professional Beauty (when it goes live I will share the link with you all). There was also presentation of nail fashion on the main stage/runway which was so amazing. How exciting for nails to be right up there with all the other branches of the industry?

A big and heartfelt thank you to Glenn and Gary for making all of my tourist dreams come true while I was here with their families, Bec and Cherie. I have done and seen all the things we Americans envision Australia to have and to be within a small time frame. Much love and appreciation to all of the nail professionals that took the time out of their busy schedules to learn about their nail eyes in class as they became nail fashion designers and to those that stopped to say hello at the Sydney Expo; you are the reason I do what I do!

This video is a really awesome resource for figuring out a reasonable hourly rate for yourself in addition to seeing the average your area can bear in service prices in some ways.
Have you ever heard of the stages of grief? With everything going on, we are grieving our “normal”. That means you should give yourself permission to feel the way you feel.
Has all this PPE business got you down? Does it feel like it cramps your style? One way to help it cheer you up which will in turn cheer up your clients is to add some sparkle.
For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
It has been quite a while since I made a video for the e-file chronicles so an update to that seemed in order. The latest installment is removing gel-polish from an enhancement.
