Managing editor Sree Roy and I were invited to attend the TMG Pre-Oscar Luxury Suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel today. Among the participants were Spider Headphones, IT Haircare, Sene Gence, The Divining Rod, TMG, Anahita, Laboraitore Dr. Renaud Skincare, and OPI.

First thing was first, as we went to get OPI’s  Man With the Golden Gun 18 kt. top coat applied on our fingernails. Both Sree and I wanted the gold flecks to stand out, so we layered it over nude bases. OPI’s entire Skyfall line was featured in the manicure room. Cosmetologist Cathy Brenneman happily applied the golden flecks to my nails.

Gold seemed to be the theme at the event, which was put on because of the gold guy himself — Oscar. Sree got a hairstyle courtesy of Freeze It Haircare, who were promoting among other things, its illuminator spray and glitter spray, both of which make hair really shine. I received a facial from Amina Esthetique that left me all aglow.

Before we left we sampled some of Spider’s sweet beats with their headphones and wine from the Divining Rod. The day of pampering may have been a small taste of how a star is pampered pre-Oscar, but when we left, Sree and I definitely took home the gold — on our nails at least.
