Tweezerman celebrated its 30th anniversary last week and held a luncheon in Hollywood to commemorate the occasion as well as introduce some new products and promotions for the upcoming year.
Tweezerman started out in 1980 with a single product — the Splintertweeze, and grew exponentially when shortly after it released the Tweezerman Slant, which is still a bestseller for the company.
The current president and CEO, Dr. Cornelia Wittke opened the luncheon in the Sunset Towers hotel room with a presentation going over Tweezerman’s history — from the very beginning to its newest product releases. The products continue to be made with the finest steel, and have products in each price variance to suit every market.

Here’s a shot of from the event. Pictured left to right: Mary Baughman, NAILS western sales manager; Tweezerman president and CEO Dr. Cornelia Wittke; Maggie Kombogiannis, director of training; Kathy Harvey, director of prof. sales; Maureen Beresford, media relations; and myself.
Dr. Wittke also talked about two promotions Tweezerman is doing this upcoming year:

One is the new Star Bright Mini Slant Tweezer and Zip File in support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Starlight is a foundation that organizes entertainment, education, and family activities for children with life-threatening or life-altering illnesses and injuries.
Tweezerman will be donating $1 for every Star Bright Mini Slant Tweezer purchased and 50 cents for every Star Bright Zip File bought to the foundation.

The second is the release of the special edition Hot for Dots Mini Slant Tweezers and Matchbox Itty Bitty Files.
