Hello! How has your week been so far? I am checking in to let you know what I found out about nail styles while in the UK. The glitter services are definitely starting to make their mark — anywhere from a solid one color coverage or a fade of several colors to add-ins or creative extras.

One style that I believe you will be seeing more of is Shellac Rockstar/Twinkle/Glitter nails and toes with Minx attitude. Minx is very popular in the UK and by adding small bits into the Shellac a tech can use every last piece of the sheet.

Another fun style is Peek-a-boo Rockstar, the glitter peeps through a top layer of color to give a fun whimsical look with contrasting colors or a classy hint of attitude using similar colors. For those interested in trying a hand at this, here is a video to give you ideas.

Here is a bonus style — these nails were Russian-inspired art and technique and the photo does not begin to do the intricate design or the colors justice.

Thank you so much to the Creative Academy + in Bournemouth for having me over and thanks again to all the nail professionals who came out to share their passion for nails and help keep moving the industry forward!
