This year I was honored to be asked to judge the nail entries in PBA’s NAHA competition. If you are not familiar with it, the full name is Professional Beauty Association North American Hairstylist Awards. Traditionally this has been a hair competition, as you might have guessed from the name. However, last year and now this year, nails have a category.

The entries were a delight to view and very difficult to judge. In addition to having the photo competition, there is also a people’s choice. I encourage you to stop by the website probeauty.org/votenaha and cast your vote for one of the nail finalists to show that the nail community appreciates and deserves the recognition in this competition!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
