Remember when I told you that I would be visiting Turks and Caicos for the Beaches BFF event? Well, hello from Providenciales!! The BFF event was such an amazing and uplifting experience, I hope to do as much of it justice as I can. The idea behind it is for friends to have the option for a short getaway to just enjoy beautiful food, friendship, and scenery. There were a few daily activities you could participate in and tons of things given away, including a $200 spa credit to each attendee! This would be a great opportunity for you and your non-nail friends to have some bonding time in a tropical utopia.
There were several event sponsors in attendance that were kind enough to grant me an audience for an interview so that even though the event itself was not geared toward nails, I could bring you back something that would be useful in the salon. I have a blog planned for you on quick, easy hairstyles to help you achieve some fresh looks for work to step outside the ponytail rut, one on wines to compliment your services and jazz them up, and some stretches to work out the common kinds we get from our usual seated scrunch, lol. Below is a photo of the goody bag and a few activities the BFFs got to enjoy. If it looks like a good idea, there are two trips to pick from next year!

Have you ever heard of the stages of grief? With everything going on, we are grieving our “normal”. That means you should give yourself permission to feel the way you feel.

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
It has been quite a while since I made a video for the e-file chronicles so an update to that seemed in order. The latest installment is removing gel-polish from an enhancement.
