Getting into day five of the Nail Those Profits cruise, we found ourselves in Cozumel. Several people from the group opted to go on a snorkeling trip, some hit the ruins of Chichén Itzá, and others chillaxed on the ship.

If the cruise tradition continues in Vicki’s memory you have got to have a go at it, skip the overpriced internet, and just enjoy a week off grid. You get so much more out of the classes, out of your fellow attendees, and from yourself without the distraction of a phone or internet!

Sadly day six (day seven on ship as they count boarding as day one) is the finale. The final day at sea started with a Barefoot class taught by Athena Elliot. She gave us ideas on introducing toenail reconstruction into our salon menu along with advice on pricing, marketing, and more.

She was followed by Jess Hoel of Akzentz who walked through gel structure. Class time was rounded out with a demo from Mindy Borrego of the new LCN product launching.

There’s free time until the evening, at which time there is an informal award ceremony followed by group dinner. You finish out the cruise relaxed, rejuvenated, and inspired. If the cruise continues, I will definitely be going and letting you know how to sign on!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
