The B vitamin Biotin, which is sold under the brand names Appearex and Elon, is the only proven treatment. You can also buy a generic version. I recommend a dose of 2.5 - 3 mg. daily for several months. There are no other significant changes with other vitamins. Elon nail conditioner may help.
