2-Week Backfill

Small 1/4-sized bit to cut new smile lines

To trench out a new smile line on a backfill

4-Week Backfill

1/2 barrel bit to cut new smile lines and remove product

To trench out a new smile line and remove product on a backfill

Inverted Backfill

1/2 barrel angled bit for easier cutting

To trench out a new smile line and remove product on a backfill

Small Barrel

Slimmer and easy to see as you work

For surface work, refining C-curves, and shortening

Large Barrel

Larger for more surface contact

UNC (Under the Nail Cleaner)

Tiny, slim pointed bit to get into tight spots and under the nails

My students and I are having a problem with gel nails. We’ve visited a salon where the tech uses LeChat powder gel base (I don’t know the product, but it sounds like acrylic to me) and then uses IBD Intense Seal on top. She cures it for about six minutes and calls it gel nails. This seems easier than the gel systems we use at school.
