Getting product onto the skin is one of the most common problems I see with applications. One of the first things you can do is keep the brush 1/16th of an inch away from the nail. I know that’s a small distance, but really try to keep it there. And in the beginning, I tell techs that it’s better for them to leave a little nail exposed at the cuticle than risk getting product onto the skin. With time you’ll learn how to cover that small distance you’re leaving exposed, but it’s better to play it safe so lifting doesn’t occur.
