Adding freshness and newness to a salon is a must. It’s the little things that will keep it looking current and relevant. Adding fresh flowers and colorful pillows to a seating area that relates to that season is an instant win. Even scented candles, which evoke the changing of that season, create a new experience to new clients. If you have the space, moving furniture into new configurations is an easy trick but think about adding a small interesting piece of furniture to your seating that will add character and add conversation. Something like a ceramic ginger jar stool or tree stump side table! Artwork on walls is an investment, and I don’t recommend art pieces get switched out regularly but coffee table magazines should always be current and add other types of magazines other than fashion and gossip. Think food and travel magazines that could present your salon as more global and well-travelled!
