I recommend that you start catering to her natural nails. Work on getting her natural nails in the best shape possible. Advise your client to visit the salon weekly for natural nail manicures. If she is highly allergic and has been on or is still on medication, going natural would be the best solution for her at this time. When performing her manicures, gently buff the surface with an abrasive made for natural nails. This will improve the look of the nail plate surface. Keep the nails short and neat and apply a ridge filler before you polish to give a smoother appearance to the nail surface.
There are various natural nail treatments available that you could test on your client to perfect the appearance of her natural nails. Keep records of your results and have your client help by getting her involved. This will give her a more positive outlook on going natural and encourage her to stick to it. -- Patricia Yankee Williams
