What are party nails?

September 19, 2008

Party nails are temporary nail extensions. You do not need to overlay the tips with anything, however, if you want you can layer a coat or two of thin glue over the entire nail and tip, and add filler powder between the layers. Party nails are inexpensive and a less time-consuming service, and they’re great for clients who want their nails to look longer and nice for a special event. They last for only about a week.

There are also full coverage nail extensions that are simple to put on and require short service times as well. They’re great for temporary wear and are inexpensive for both the technician and the client to purchase. -- Patti Yankee Williams owns Pattie’s Place in North Babylon, N.Y.
