What is a good gel that you can make designs in?

December 17, 2012

When using a gel for nail art, I definitely prefer using Gelish. The line comes in a wide range of colors that includes brights, neons, glitters, and shimmers, just to name a few. I love the consistency that allows it to be applied thinly, and curing is a cinch.

When storing your gel-polish, be sure keep the bottles out of the way of your LED/UV lamp and out of any bright light/sunlight. Remember that they’re light-cured so keep them stored in a cool, dark place in order to preserve your product.
In conjunction with that, I highly recommend using the Gelish LED 18G lamp because it cures in 5, 20, and 30 seconds, which is key when curing your layers for nail art. This lamp has changed my service time completely and is essential for the nail art process. YouTube has countless nail art how-to videos. I suggest checking them out for step-by-step instructions and for new, fun ideas. Happy creating!
