Acrylics will cure just fine at normal room temperature. Cool temperatures will slow down the curing reaction, so in cool weather or in a cold room, it’s often helpful to warm the monomer a bit to speed up the curing and prevent crystallization.
Monomer can be warmed by putting the bottle in a bowl of warm water or by using a commercial dappen dish warming unit. Don’t warm monomer in a microwave or conventional oven, as this can cause explosion or fire. – Paul Bryson is director of research and development at OPI.
