Why does my gel-polish not cure correctly on the thumbs?

February 21, 2018

This problem could be related to a number of causes. First, be sure to prep by thoroughly cleansing and dehydrating the nail. The client may not be holding her thumbs down correctly, or the gel-polish may have been applied too thickly. If the problem happens consistently with the same colors, then that bottle could be bad. If you’re experiencing the same problem with all clients and colors, it’s a good idea to make sure your lamp is clean on the inside and your LED lamp or UV bulbs are up to date.
