Nail polish and top coats dry by evaporation. The warmer the feet or hands, the faster the top coat will dry. If the feet are very cold, the polish and top coat will take much longer to dry and it will be softer and more likely to wrinkle. Waiting a little longer before putting cold feet into shoes will help eliminate wrinkling, as will warming the feet before applying product. -- Doug Schoon
