Why isn’t my Gelish application curing properly?

It sounds like the gel-polish is not fully cured. If you are using a traditional UV lamp, make sure the bulbs are fresh. You need to change them out every three months or so. It is also possible that you are applying the gel-polish too thick. When gel-polish is applied too heavy, the UV light cannot penetrate through the entire layer to cure it properly. Uncured gel-polish can cause the top coat to dull and also get wiped away with cleanser.

What’s the trick to getting dark glitters to cure when doing rock star gel nails? I do my nail prep, then a layer of Akzentz Base N Gloss. I cure and put another layer of Base N Gloss, then sprinkle on the glitter and tap off some of the excess. I cure after that, and I brush off the excess again when it’s done, but a lot of glitter will come off with it. And this is with a brand new gel lamp.
