I understand the hesitancy among nail techs (and myself, to be honest, at least until I saw the salon in person) about the in-store experience at the nail salon that just opened inside a Chicago Walgreens.
Since we’re focusing on education in this month’s issue, we thought it fitting to spotlight schools that are providing their nail students with topnotch education. I had a great time at America’s Beauty Show (formerly the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show) earlier this month. For the first time, the show took place in McCormick Place, a gigantic convention center in the heart of Chicago (in previous years, it had been held in the suburb of Rosemont, Ill.)
