Celebrate the Lunar New Year (or Chinese New Year, or Tết in Vietnamese) on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 with rooster nail art. That’s right, it’s the Year of the Rooster! Here are just a few of the great Lunar New Year designs from nail artists in a few of the many countries that celebrate the Lunar New Year.
The winning entries from this year’s Mural Contest couldn’t be more different in style, yet they all reveal incredible skill and creativity on the part of the artists who created them.
Demonstrating extraordinary talent, a steady hand, and a keen eye for detail, nail artist Elsbeth Schuetz won this year’s contest with her Roaring Twenties-themed mural. Congratulations also go to second-place winner Aria Justice of Enid, Okla., and third-place winner Amanda Lenher, of Collierville, Tenn. Our sincere thanks to all who entered.
Shannon McCown of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, won our 2013 Mural Contest with her stunning avian-inspired design. This year’s entries took on a wide range of themes — and depicted them beautifully.
