Beginning January 22, the 12 nail professionals mentioned here will compete each week for glory, prize packages, and a shot at the top title in the nail industry.
The International Salon & Spa Expo (ISSE) Long Beach, held January 26-28, is billed as the West Coast’s largest and most influential total beauty event. Produced by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), the ISSE concept has evolved beyond the traditional “hair” show to really incorporate a diverse exhibitor base covering hair, nails, cosmetics, esthetics, wellness, massage, and advanced education. More than 400 beauty brands were on display for nearly 40,000 beauty professionals in attendance. ISSE Long Beach 2014 will be held January 25-27.
Do sunset reviews mean the end of cosmetology licensing? Not necessarily, but they do require the government to evaluate the relevance of licensing and education of cosmetologists. This year, 12 states are scrutinizing the cosmetology industry.
