The renowned Beacon competition provides the nation’s most promising cosmetology students with education and opportunities to network with the industry’s highest profile salon owners, professionals, and stylists during PBA Beauty Week, held in Las Vegas July 8-10, 2017.
The first week of school went by fast. I actually feel like I’ve been here longer than a week. Everyone is so welcoming, and all of the departments — nails, esthetics, cosmetology, financial aid — mix and mingle, which is great!

This week I had only one exam left and that was from the beginning of beauty school. I took it on Monday and scored 100% on it so I'm very happy. I have no exams and no hours to make up.
This week we watched a demonstration with the wonderful Gisela Marti, the creative director for Tammy Taylor Nails. I was so excited to finally have a formal introduction to a brand and product line that I see so many nail technicians are committed to using.
